The 2010 Top 75 Global Tire Company Rankings conducted by the US-based Rubber & Plastics News Magazine, were recently released, with Aeolus Tire and YellowSea Rubber, two subsidiaries of China National Tire & Rubber Corporation present on the list.

The rankings are calculated based on sales revenue linked with tire manufacturing in the previous year, and reveal that Chinese tire enterprises rank prominently on the list. Although the global tire industry has experienced the first year of negative growth since the year 2000, the number of China-based enterprises in the top 75 has increased from 19 to 22. If another five companies from Taiwan are included, there are altogether 27 enterprises on the list, exceeding one third of the total.
