On July 30th, the 500,000 t/a CPP (catalytic pyrolysis process) ethylene unit of Shenyang Chemical Industry Group passed comprehensive commissioning. Not only did all the process flows go smoothly, but high-purity ethylene and propylene products up to 99.97% and 99.99% were produced, both of which exceeded the performance guarantee value as specified in patent trader contract, marking the first CPP ethylene project of the world successfully commissioned.

The CPP plant of Shenyang Chemical Industry Group opened new channels to develop petrochemicals using heavy oil as raw material, which attracted worldwide attention in the petrochemical industry.
