Ren Jianxin, Chairman of China National Chemical Corporation, was born in January 1958. He once studied chemical machinery, and has completed a master’s degree in economics. In 1984, with a loan of 10,000 yuan ($1,500), he led seven young people to found China's first professional cleaning company - Bluestar, pioneered China's modern cleaning industry. In May 2004, China National Chemical Corporation was established by reorganizing Bluestar Company and the enterprises directly under former Ministry of Chemical Industry, with Mr. Ren Jianxin as the Chairman up to now.

Since starting from scratch in 1984, Ren Jianxin has always adhered to a corporate vision of "creating value for shareholders, creating jobs for the society", and has guided the enterprise to achieve profound progress. It has grown from a small business starting up with a loan of 10,000 yuan into today's large corporation with asset size and sales revenue both reaching 300 billion yuan; from the creator of China's "361st industry"-industrial cleaning profession-to a pilot of China's material sciences, life sciences, advanced manufacturing and basic chemical manufacturing industry, ranking the 265th in Fortune Global 500; from re-invigorating 107 domestic enterprises through merger and reorganization to nowadays acquiring 9 overseas companies in France, Britain, Australia, Israel, Norway, Italy, Germany and so forth.

Ren Jianxin was honoured the “China annual businessman of 2008 FORTUNE”. In 2011, Ren Jianxin was awarded the Legion of Honour by the French government.

Ren Jianxin is a delegate to the National People’s Congress of China.
