Agricultural Inputs Services

With the operating tenet of “Harmonious China, Safe Agriculture, and Serving China’s Farmers Heart and Soul”, Sinochem actively practices agricultural services in order to affect more produce and income for China’s farmers.

1、Throughout the year, the company offers services of science and technology, chemical fertilizer, and services to China’s rural area by organizing professional teams to lecture the farmers on balanced fertilization and scientific farming by means of pamphlets of scientific fertilization, books on agricultural fertilization, know-how booklets, and related lectures.

2、In January of 2006, the company launched a huge campaign of farmer training in a wide area of Northeast as a prelude to the overall national campaign.

3、In 2004, the company started with the People’s Broadcasting Station of China the program of Sinochem Agriculture Plaza, the first agricultural public welfare program by a corporate entity and the media. The program accounts for the state policy on agriculture to the farmers on a daily basis, preaches know-how on balanced fertilization, and provides latest market information, thus becoming the “invisible lecture” on scientific farming.

4、The company has set up the R. & D. center of Sinochem Fertilizer—Agriculture University with China Agriculture University, conducts the research of fertilizer development trend, the R. & D. of new fertilizers, quality control, other services of agricultural fertilization for farmers, with an eye on promotion of the concept and technology of balanced fertilization.

5、Sinochem cooperated with media like Economic Daily (Agricultural Edition) and Herald of Agricultural Materials in the launch of Special Edition of Sinochem Agricultural Services to provide information of agricultural material to assist China’s farmers. The annual circulation of the two editions exceeds two million copies.

6、In 2001, the national charge-free hotline 800-810-9991 was opened, being the very national first; professors and experts from renowned agricultural institutions are available to answer question regarding scientific fertilization: the hotline has become the close friend of farmers.

7、The company annually offers scholarships to over seventy college students of rural background from China Agriculture University and sponsors over twenty student groups of summer vacation activities for the offer of agricultural services in rural areas.

8. To help the farmers improve the fertilizing skills, popularize the agro-chemical knowledge and to contribute to the crop yield increase and the farmers’ income rise, Sinofert engaged in the construction of scientific fertilizing model villages in key areas within its distribution network. In every model village, Sinofert provided assistance to the farmers by inviting senior agronomists as consultants, arranging bulletin boards on fertilizing knowledge, organizing regular field diagnoses (2-3 times per month), and holding Q&A sessions.

9. In cooperation with the Institute of Agricultural Resources and Regional Planning (IARRP) of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), we established Sinochem-CAAS Soil Testing and Formula Fertilizing Technology Center and the related laboratories and service stations. As an advanced method of fertilizing, formula fertilizing is tailored to address the specific needs of crops and soils.
