January 21 and 22, 2008, Sinochem Corporation held an annual meeting in Beijing Eastern Garden International Convention Center. Under the theme of “Promoting the Development of Sinochem Undertakings at the Guidance of the 17th CPC Congress and With Deeper Implementation of the Scientific Outlook on Development”, the company reviewed the performance in 2007, analyzed the current situation and deployed the strategies in 2008 and the next three years. 

Hosted by Pan Zhengyi, Vice President of Sinochem Corporation, the meeting has 230 participants, including the senior management headed by Liu Deshu, President and CEO, and the middle management from subsidiaries, business units and the back offices. Wu Tianlin, Chairman of the Supervision Committee and Cui Yanxuan, Deputy Director of the Supervision Committee, officials from Bureau Five of the Ministry of Organization and officials from the SASAC were invited to the meeting as well.

The meeting proposed that the guiding principle of Sinochem Corporation within a considerable period should be: Inherit the spirit of the 17th CPC Congress, implement the scientific outlook on development, stick to entrepreneurship and innovation, promote lean management, solidify the strength of the core businesses, enhance the sustainability and realize the company’s healthy growth and overall progress.

In accordance with the meeting, during next three years, Sinochem Corporation is committed to continuing to implement the industrial service strategy, sticking to innovative development, sound investment and lean management, retaining a good and rapid momentum, realizing stable growth with optimized structure, keeping a high profitability, and endeavoring to rank among the state owned enterprises with the annul profit exceeding RMB 10 billion.
