On November 26th, Sinochem Fertilizer signed the 2008-2010 Purchase Framework Agreement with Salt Lake Potash. According to the agreement, Salt Lake Potash will supply for Sinofert with its principally operated chemical and fertilizer products, including various grades of the potassium chloride products.
The framework agreement will be conducive to the implementation of Sinofert’s product strategy, enhancing the company’s leadership in the potash market and strengthening the capability of its distribution network. Meanwhile, the agreement is also in the interests of Salt Lake Potash in terms of better arrangement of the product sales plans and more profits.
Sinofert is now a shareholder of 11 fertilizer plants with the total capacity up to 7 million tons. The company has China’s most extensive self-built distribution network, 1,600 distribution centers covering the country’s main fertilizer consumption area, across 22 agricultural provinces and dealing with over 1.2 million tons of the fertilizer every year.
