While laying emphasis on the projects of resource-based quality fertilizer, the company has been taking an active part in the investment and exploitation of the phosphorite in Yunnan and Guizhou, set up two phosphorus compound fertilizer manufacture bases of million tons in Chongqing and Shandong, participated in the shares of projects like Salt Lake Kalium Fertilizer, Shan’Xi Tianji & Sinochem Carbamide and Yunnan Sanhuan. By the end of 2005, the company and its holding companies have poured investments to control or share in the control of ten manufacturers of chemical fertilizer, with a producing capacity of 4.83 million ton; it has become the sole large chemical fertilizer maker capable of producing nitrogenous fertilizer, phosphatic fertilizer, kalium fertilizer and compound fertilizer; its status as the leading fertilizer maker has been further reinforced.
