As China’s largest fertilizer supplier and distributor, we supply the premium fertilizer for the domestic market by sourcing from the markets within and without China and help guarantee the nation’s agricultural production and food security. Sinofert Holdings Limited (HK 00297) (“Sinofert” hereinafter)—our flagship fertilizer arm now enjoys the fullest range of the products and largest sales volume in China.

Our complete pesticide industrial chain from R&D, production to distribution has come into being while we remain No. 1 importer and exporter in the nation. In 2007, Sinochem successfully merged with Shenyang Research Institute of Chemical Industry (“Shenyang Institute” hereinafter). Leveraging Shenyang Institute’s strength in pesticide research, production, analysis, testing and environmental awareness, we are integrating the existing pesticide resources, optimizing R&D, production and distribution network, further engaged in the international collaborations, improving the innovative capabilities, solidifying our leadership in the domestic pesticide market and endeavoring to become a competitive player in the world pesticide arena.

In 2007, Sinochem also merged with China National Seed Group Corporation (“CNSGC” hereinafter). The merger would bring together our synergistic efforts in distribution network, manufacturing, R&D, branding and capitals.

It is out of question that the merger with Shenyang Institute and CNSGC have significantly increased our overall strength in agricultural inputs and solidified our position as “the national force” as well as the mainstay in the agricultural area in China.
