How time flies!  It has been more than one year since I first came Sinochem Fertilizer.  In such a short period, I experienced a lot, perspiration as well as enjoyment, which made me mature from an inexperienced boy.  Now I have become a competent salesman of Sinmochem, and it gives me wonderful feelings.  Looking back, working for aSinochem gives me insight into the perspectives of new life.    

Perspective 1: Maturity 

Leaving the campus, with high expectation and excitement, I just wanted to reach something great achievement.  However, having worked for a period, I found I had to do trivial things repeatedly every day like dealing with statistic report form, sending fax, etc.  I was wondering, is it really my “ambitious career” that I have been dreaming of?  

I was in a trance for sometime until one day my manager came to me, with my market analysis form in his hand, he said: “Generally, it’s very good, but wouldn’t it be even better if you analyze it combining with the factors like fertilizer preparation, sales, fertilizing habit, cropping structure?”  A blush with embarrassment, it made me realize that even though trivial things can make difference if you are a little bit more devoted to it and make it creative rather than just mechanical “familiarity”.

I thought, as a new comer, it is very positive to have great ambition, but the daily routines cannot be ignored either, there is no point to be anxious too much about great achievement without doing anything practical. Even thousands miles of long journey has to be started with the first step, and you have to build up experience through the accumulation of these trivial things step by step.    

Perspective 2: Paying off   

In the hot summer of 2006, July, August and September were the sales peak season of the year. Due to the poor management of the local railway station, the delay of loading and unloading, non-standard handling of cargo are often affect the sales of peak season and bring about serious losses to our company. 

Having accepted the task to pick up the goods, the “first thing” I had to do every day was to persuade them and let me know the right platform for the goods.  In order to see the handling of every single batch of goods clearly, standing high on the train board has become my new “hobby”.  When the unloading hadn’t finished till noon, I just simply picked up take-away for lunch in order to continually carry on the supervision of goods, and eating and chatting with the workers by the railway is another “enjoyment” I discovered.  Finally, all the efforts were paid off, the problems about consignment of goods and the losses have quickly been solved.  

Perhaps my initiative attitude towards work might influence the staff and the workers at the station, as soon as we get there for our consignment, all the members of staff are so cooperative and help us spontaneously.  My experience has proven that as long as you devoted to your work with whole-hearted, you will be respectable through mutual understanding.   

Perspective 3: Family supports encourage me to improve further

Every time when I face up challenges, the smile and encouragement of my parents are always so valuable to me and I become more confident of myself.

At the end of last year, our Jiangsu Branch held a conference with key distributors of phosphate compound fertilizer in Yangzhou.  The day before the conference, my mother phoned me and gave me the message from my father, he suffered from spine and vertebrae disease and needed to do operation in the hospital, he said, “My son, the doctor said the operation is not that risky, don’t worry about anything, and just concentrate on your work.”  It was found out later, it was very risky that if it didn’t go well, he would be disabled.  When it was all over, I saw my father again, at the moment he was still smiling at me, I just couldn’t help the tears welled up in my eyes.    

Yesterday has already become the history.  Looking ahead, there is a long way to go in my career, and I believe that Sinochem is a huge stage on which I play an active role in the future.
