According to the latest Fortune Magazine’s annual ranking of Global 500 released on July 10th, Sinochem was named to the list for the 18th time, ranking 257th, with Year 2007’s revenue standing at $302.04 and maintaining No. 5 among the world’s largest commercial and trading companies.

This year’s Fortune Global 500 embraced 35 Chinese companies (25 from mainland, 4 from Hong Kong and 6 from Taiwan). Sinopec, ranking 16th with a revenue of $159.26 billion, led the Chinese firms on the list. 5 Chinese companies including Lenovo and Chinalco were named to the list for the first time.
