The severe snowstorm in Southern and Eastern China concerned the staff of Sinochem. The company as a whole has strived to take effective measures to guarantee the safe operations in the storm stricken area, and make donations to help the people affected by the catastrophe.

At an appeal by Liu Deshu, Secretary of the CPC branch and President & CEO of Sinochem for a relief fund, the staff has taken an active part to make the donation. On February 3rd, Sinochem received RMB1.1 million from individuals and decided to donate additional RMB2 million on behalf the company as a whole. On February 4th, Guizhou Province and Jiangxi Province each has received RMB1.1 million from Sinochem.

As an important supplier of the agricultural inputs products including fertilizer, pesticide and seeds, Sinochem and its subsidiaries are determined to take quick actions to prepare for the rehabilitation after the snowstorm. Sinofert has aligned the sourcing to guarantee the supplies. On February 3rd, Sinofert donated 100 metric tons of the relief fertilizer worth RMB300,000 to the City of Macheng in Hubei Province. China National Seeds Group Corporation, in charge of the state’s relief seeds reserve, has spared no efforts to dispose the seeds to various areas. Zhangye Production Site has ceaselessly continued the seed processing so as to go to the relief right after the snowstorm. Other related preparations are under way as well.
