China Foreign Economic Trade Trust &Investment Co. Ltd. (hereafter called FOTIC for short) is the subsidiary of Sinochem Co. which deals with trust services, and was established in Beijing on 30 September, 1987. On December 31, 1994, the State Council approved FOTIC to join Sinochem Corporation which merged with former Sinochem Financial Company. In September 2002, FOTIC reregistered upon the approval by the People’s Bank of China, and has been awarded “Trust Organization Corporation License”, and became one of few central level trust companies under direct supervision of Administration Commission in banking industry of China. In 2006, FOTIC was selected as the first according to the evaluation upon overall performance of the company by China Trust Association; and was selected as one of “10 most promising companies in the future development” by expert committee of Trust Industry Association; In 2007, FOTIC has been awarded “Best Trust Company Award” in the campaign for “Trust worthy Trust”-2006 “Best Trust Company in China” jointly hosted by Shanghai Securities News and Chinastock.com website.
