Mr. Chen became the Chief Financial Officer of Sinochem in December 2000.

Over the more than 10 years of working for Sinochem, Mr. Chen was once the vice director of the Financial Department, Vice President of Unipec, Vice General Manager of the Financial Department of the head office and Vice Chief Financial Officer. With rich financial management experiences, Mr. Chen has fairly unique understanding of international financing, capital operation and business risk control. He is now in charge of capital management department, accountant management department, analysis and evaluation department, comprehensive finance department, risk management department and insurance department of the corporation at present; meanwhile, acting as the director of the budget and evaluation committee, the director of the risk control committee, and taking charge of financial affairs of the corporation in Hong Kong and the related issues of Manulife Insurance Company.

Mr. Chen graduated from the Accounting Department of Xiamen University and received the doctor’s degree in 1988.
