Atlantis Holding Norway AS (hereinafter referred to as Atlantis) was originally a wholly-owned subsidiary of Norway Petroleum Geo-Service ASA (PGS), mainly dealing with oil and gas exploration and production, and was acquired by Sinochem Group in 2003. Headquartered in Dubai UAE, Atlantis owns 8 contractual blocks distributed in Tunisia and UAE.

The UAQ Gas Field is the first offshore gas field independently developed and built overseas by China’s oil company. On May 2nd, 2008, the Gas Field was successfully put into production, transmitting natural gas of 80.5 mmscf/day to onshore terminals, which marked the first offshore gas field where Sinochem served as an operator was successfully put into production. By December 31st, 2010, the UAQ Gas Field had generated a gas production of 68,568 mmscf in total, achieving zero accident for 974 successive days.

The Oudna Oilfield was put into production on November 12th, 2006, with highest daily production of 25,550 barrels. By the end of 2010, the oilfield had produced accumulatively 9.77 million barrels of crude oil.

As Middle East is the key region in Sinochem Group's strategy of extending to upstream oil business, Atlantis will, based on the successful development of UAQ offshore gas field, look for and develop new oil and gas projects, for the purpose of increasing its oil and gas production in this region to make new breakthroughs on upstream oil business.
